Buyers need to focus their energies on what they really want and need in a home. What is the point in looking at so many different types of homes when you've already eliminated certain styles. For example, at the beginning of your search, maybe you don't quite know what you're looking for in a home, but the more houses you look at online or in person, the more you understand what you want.
Most people who want a 1 story home will not continue to look at 2 story homes, and vice verse. Most people who decide the upstairs Gameroom is important will stop looking at smaller homes which do not have this Gameroom. Most people who feel the Master Bedroom should be up or down stairs will stop looking at homes where it's the opposite.
When you don't stop looking at the full range of listings, you confuse yourself. My best advice to a buyer is to focus and figure out what you really need in a home, and then think about what you want in a home. The needs are the most important things to look for and the wants are just bells and whistles.
The worst thing you can do for youself is to spin your wheels looking at houses you know you don't like, but think you need to look at them just to make sure. It's a WASTE OF TIME!!
