Austin TX Real Estate - Hill Country Austin Lakeway Homes for Sale: Taking Control Away from a Control Freak

Taking Control Away from a Control Freak

Man, this is bad... I'm such a control freak, and for the past 3 days, I've been watching other people pack and move my belongings.

It's so hard to watch them do all the work while I do very little.  Don't get me wrong, I've done my fair share,  and they keep telling me to go sit down, but those who really know me, you know I don't sit still well...

It's so hard to take the control away from a control freak!

But they're the professionals and I'm allowing them to pack things however they need to to ensure our things arrive in one piece.

And the best part of all is that I've actually gotten a lot of work done!

Donna, try to relax!

Just as your clients hire you for your professional help, you need to leave this to the professionals too!

You hit the nail on the head, like homebuyers and sellers let the professionals (us) work for them, let your hired professionals work for you. I am a bit of a control freak myself to, I have to admit it.

Donna - LOL!  It would be hard for me, too, but try to relax a little bit!  :)

Oh watching others pack my belongings would be so hard.  How are you coping?

To begin with, I would not let someone handle my belongings.  That way I can't scream at them for breaking something.

Donna, I guess if you packed your personal stuff like photos, they can pack all the general stuff and then you wouldn't care so much.

Brenda, Every once in a while, I give them a pointer... like they didn't already know!  One guy had 39 years experience, one guy 40 years, one guy 21, and one lady 30 years... lots of experience there!

Angelia, Insurance!  They're responsible for everything.  $6 per pound was on the paperwork.

Gary, Nope, they don't insure things you pack yourself.  Whatever we packed, we had to take ourselves, so I only packed the "nonallowables" like aresol cans, cleaners, and fertilizers.
