Austin TX Real Estate - Hill Country Austin Lakeway Homes for Sale: Memed Several Times, but First Response

Memed Several Times, but First Response

Well, I've been Meme'd several times over the past few months, and I've never really had the time to respond.  I got memed again today by Stephanie Edwards-Musa, so here I am with a few moments to respond while I wait for an out of state seller to respond to an offer we received on a listing.

So, you want five things about myself that you might not know...

1. I am a VERY competitive person.  (What?!?!  You knew that?  What gave me away?)

2. I love sports, but I prefer playing rather than watching.  I used to play soccer, softball, and sand volleyball.  I gave all that up when I met my now husband over four years ago as he got me into Wakeboarding.  I couldn't risk getting injured playing other sports because then I wouldn't be able to wakeboard.  I had never water skied before, so anything having to do with keeping balance on a board on the water was all new to me.

3. I played Clarinet from 6th grade all through high school.  I was first chair most of the time.  I received a music scholarship for college, but after one day of summer band, I decided I wanted to see what life was like outside Band, so I dropped my scholarship and signed up for debt with financial aid.

4. I have a brother, Erick, who is 20 months older than me.  He and his wife, Kathy, live in the DC area.

5. I blogged about this last week, but maybe not everyone read it, but I'm PREGNANT!!  I am in my 14th week, and I'm very excited!!  This will be my mom's first grandchild and my in-law's second.

I'm sure there are lots more things about me that you would like to know as I can talk up a storm, but I hope you learned something new about me with the above things I chose.

I will now meme:

Craig Bartels,  Sam Chapman, and Kip and Tamara Barnard

I feel like I know a little more about, I love it!  Congrats on the pregnancy!  I have one daughter, 15 months old.  You are going to love being a parent, it is amazing!

PS.  How can you give up beach volleyball!  I miss it so much.  I don't have the opportunity to play anymore.  I wish I was in Texas, we could play!

Hi Jon!

Thanks for your response.  Yes, I can't wait to be a mother, to someone besides a dog!!

As for volleyball, it was hard to give up, but I had also moved over 30 minutes away in good traffic, and 45 minutes in heavier traffic, from the best place for team play, and trying to keep Wednesday or Thursday evenings always free each week was so hard, so it was easier and easier not to go.  I miss it, and maybe I'll start up again in the future as it's great excersise, but my husband rather go out on the boat.

Hey David!  I will need to look into getting that book!  My husband was very nonchalant until he actually saw the ultrasound last week.  Since then, he's telling everyone about the baby's movement doing flips and such, but he's still a little distant and cracking jokes about how my working out isn't helping (jokingly patting my stomach).

Congratulations on the "little bundle of joy!" Kids are wonderful - even when they are 23 and a policeman like my son! A competitive person? Right trait for a Realtor! However, I never met a competitive clarinet player - JUST KIDDING!

Hi Gary, Yes, it's great being competetive in our business.  I can't believe all the soft spoken agents I meet.  I wonder how they make things happen... as for the clarinet, someone has to compete for those solos and duets!!

Hi Donna, thanks for sharing about yourself.  And, of course, best wishes to you and your husband on your bundle of joy you're expecting.  Enjoy this gets hectic after the baby is actually here.

Great MeMe Donna!  Wow, so many athletes in the MeMe's this week!  That's what makes us so competitive, right?  :)  Congrats on the baby, and you said you would keep us posted.  Like ultrasound photos maybe?  Just kidding. But do keep us posted.

Thanks, guys!  I think my husband is taking full advantage of doing what he can before the baby as he's been out of town 3 times this month, and he's leaving again today to enjoy Memorial weekend with some friends, I opted not to go for other reasons.

Stephanie, I have the latest ultrasound posted.  My next one won't be until week 20 which is in two more appt.  It will probably be on my bday since my next appt is June 11, I'll try to get the 20 week one, where I find out the sex, to be on my bday which is July 11.  Even if it's off a day or two, it will still be a nice bday present to know the sex!!
