These flowers popped up on the dry banks of Lake Travis where water usually is. No grass or dirt, just rocks... Have the seeds for these flowers been sitting under water within the rocks all these years?!

Beautiful flowers, and the color is so bright. Do you know the name of the flower?
Donna, nice photo, interesting how they appeared from under the rocks. Enjoy the day!
Brilliant photos...thanks for sharing them with all of us. Have a peaceful day.
Hi Donna;
Once again... great pictures for all to share. Have a wonderful day with your family.
Nice pictures Donna...beautiful colors....I bet they smell nice too!
Aren't they pretty?
Rebecca, I think they're called "WEEDS"! They popped up with the other weeds... have no idea what they are!
Jen, And especially since those rocks are usually covered with water.
Michael, THank you, you too!
Anthony, Thank you, you too!
Blrguy, Yes, they did!
Ricki, Very, for weeds!
Donna - the lake was actually lower in 2007 before flooding rains filled it again. A lot of plants return when the lake drops and these may not have come from seed. If they did, my bet is a bird dropped the seeds.
Sam, They were all over the place, so it couldn't be a bird dropping them. We're talking over 100 yards down the water's edge, and partway up my in-law's yard.
