I had my 16 week appointment this morning. Everything is fine!! All those dreams I've been having are meaningless now. The heartrate was down to 154 from 160 at last month's appt. More of my pants are getting tighter, so I'll probably be in maternity clothes full time in the next couple of weeks.
They took blood for the Quad Test today. I have rolly vains, so they actually had to try both arms to get blood. I bruise easily so I'm definitely going to look like a junkie in a couple of hours.
I will go back for a full Sonogram to find out the sex of the baby on my Birthday, July 11. I figured it would be a very nice birthday present!!
Things are moving along very well, but very slowly!!!

So glad to hear that everything is going well during your pregnancy!
It was this time last year that Jim and I were in the midst of doing IVF. Long story, but we were unable to get pregnant on our own. We found out that it was successful (the first time!) on July 14th. And since we had gone through so much already, I was fearful almost the entire pregnancy that something bad would happen.
But our little guy came out very healthy on March 28th. He's almost 11 weeks old now! The time is flying faster than I expected.
I know in the beginning of the pregnancy, it seems to move at a snail's pace, but I promise you that once you near the middle to end of your second trimester, you'll wonder where the time has gone. So enjoy every second!
And just on the side, you and Jim share a birthday :)
Maria, Congrats on the baby!! I can't believe I didn't know you had been pregnant this entire past year!!
Tell Jim that they're supposed to be doing FREE slurpees at 7-11 on our Birthday this year! It'll be a refreshing way to celebrate! Also, your little one shares my mom's doggie's bday! She was 11 years old compared to your 11 weeks, but they could both learn a lot from each other. I wonder what other dates we have in common!
Donna,
Good to get the update and that everything is fine. Remember, lots of rest! I know that's difficult with our jobs sometimes but try.
Looking forward to finding out the sex of the baby -- until then, take it easy!
Oh, so time to bring out the 'buffet pants' eh?!?!?
