Austin TX Real Estate - Hill Country Austin Lakeway Homes for Sale: My Wii Fit Age is 28, What's Yours?

My Wii Fit Age is 28, What's Yours?

I feel so young!!!  Last month, I got a Wii for my Birthday.  I have been "asking" for a Wii for a couple of years, but my husband wouldn't get me one.  Yes, I know I could have gone and bought it myself, but I wanted it as a gift... so I finally got it!!

My mom was in town last week, and I showed her the Wii and all the games I could play.  I mentioned that I was going to buy the Wii Fit because that looked like a lot of fun and would keep me using it more.

Sunday, before she left town, she sent me to go buy it as a belated Birthday present.  YEAH!!!  Mind you, this is a lady who wouldn't let me have a nintendo growing up...

I've been using it for 12 days now, and WOW, it works!!  My abs are toned, my waste has a cut-in line.  I'm getting some muscles back in my arms.  I thought I was working my arms enough by picking Alyssa up and down, but apparently not.

In only 12 days, I've lost 3 pounds and my clothes fit so differently!

I've been taking the Body Test almost every day just to see what the results are, and today's results were that I am 28 years old!!  I've had tests where I was 29, 33, 31, and even as high as 39 on an off day.

Today, I'm 28, and I feel G-R-E-A-T!!!

What's your Wii or Wii Fit Age?

My Wii fit age was 25 at last check (lowest 22). Not too far off, but the fit board has taken the backburner to my continuing education and family events... boo.

Best of luck with your Wii Fit! Did you set a goal?

I thought by buying it for my kids I would lose some weight.  You mean I have to use it?  LOL

Hi Donna... Great... now I am going to have to go get a Wii so that I can answer your question!

Posted by Steve Shatsky almost 9 years ago

Wow Donna, I had no idea the Wii could be so effective, congrats to you! Getting those muscel cuts looks so good. My cousin has one but so far I've stuck to the treadmill, free weights and several machines in my basement. Gotta look into that Wii, thanks for the tip.

Ashley, Dang girl, how old are you??  25's a great job!

Randy, Yes, yes, you actually have to use it.  BUt that's ok, my husband won't either.  I created a cute little Mii for him, and he just grunts at it.

Steve, Wait!  If people are going to run out and buy one just because of my blog, lemme buy some stock first!!

Cynthia, The Wii has yoga and strength training stuff to actually target train areas which I found the treadmill and workout equipment (as it gets dusty upstairs) can't do.

Donna, last year we wanted to get Wii for our wedding anniversary, but since it is Christmas sason, couldn't get it anywhere. Hav eto try it this year. My husband says buy it now, but I want it for an occassion. So will wait till Dec and see. I'm glad that it is working for you and you are giving me motivation to buy it :-)

Donna- That is so cool that you found a fun way to stay fit.  As soon as Wii fit comes out with a beer drinking, pizza eating "fit" game I may have to go buy it! LOL

Hi Donna,

I took your class in Dallas , it took me awhile but I am putting it to use!  I love AR even though I am self teaching....since you are gone :=( HaHa!

I am ranked 3rd in Wylie now!

Thanks so much for offering the class , I think this will change my business!

Donna-My kids want the Wii, I had to save my money way back when to buy the Atari, I guess things are different today. By the way my 10 year old son has been saying Dang, we have no idea where he heard it.

Suma, You can buy it now and call it an early present, and then not get yourselves anything in December.

Nevin, There are a couple of things in the program where you get to sit on the floor!

Tracy, Good to see you here!  By the way, I would do all your titles as "Wylie, TX" or "Wylie, Texas" in order for it to catch Google better.  There might be other Wylie's across the country.

Joseph, I got the atari back in like 1982, and we had like 3-4 games for it.  After that, my mom always threw that in our faces for why we didn't get a nintendo.

I'm back Donna, I love yoga, it makes me feel very calm after a session. My fav teacher mover away so maybe I'll have to seek a peek at Wii yoga, thanks!

Hey Donna, what are you doing in the Wii Fit to lose weight and tone abs??  I got one last year, but I haven't used it in about 6 months and haven't played the Wii Fit game since the first week it came out when I had purchased it.  James and I used to play the Tiger Woods golf game all of the time, it was a lot of fun, but then we got caught up on computer games in the long winter and never got back to using our Wii.

Let me know what workouts you're liking on there, I may have to start using mine again!

Sincerely,

Kathleen

Cynthia, I wouldn't say I feel "calm" afterwards, but I've never been one to relax and let the tension flow.

Kathleen, I love it all!  The more activities you do, the more activities the machine unlocks.  They don't give you access to all of it at once.  I earn a new yoga pose or new aerobics game everyday.  The yoga poses, I think, are having the biggest impact.  Lots of stretches and  holding poses, and when you hold the pose, the muscles work harder.

For killer abs, do the 6 minute hula-hooping... 3 minutes each direction... OUCH!!

I head about this crazy option Donna, and I have to tell you Im a little scared to take the test. We have the Wii, but no WiiFit. If we do get it, I'll send you a note with my update. I have to assume it is NOT 28.

I'm not sure what my Wii age is. When I tried to get it the screen said "Oh my God!" and that I would have to sign a waiver if I wanted to use the Wii fit program.

Posted by Dan Callahan (Callahan's Home Inspections) almost 9 years ago

John, You can take the test on the regular Wii.  THey give you like 3 different sports activities and depending on how good you do, they calculate an age.  It's 3 different activities each time, so you can take the test each day.

Dan, My sister-in-law says it says "Overweight" when she gets on.  There's even an obese option.  I would hate to get on it and it call me obese!

Hmm... I'll have to check it out. Didnt realize it was an option.

When you go to the main screen with all the sports listed, on the bottom on the right, there are two graphics.  One's for training and the other is for the fitness test (far right one).  Click that and choose the Mii.

LOL  6 min. hula hooping!  Too funny!  I'll have to try it out!

Sincerely,

Kathleen

I guess the fit program is just like a regular gym from reading other people's posts.  You buy your membership and never use it.  I like the games, but I doubt I will actually buy one just for such reason.  If I actually own one, I would probably never use it.

Posted by Brian Griffis (Realty Choice) almost 9 years ago

Kathleen, It's great on the abs!!

Brian, It's better than a gym because you can do a few minutes here and a few minutes there.  You don't have to cram your workout into one session.

You just motivated me...my niece has one but haven't tried it.  Sounds fun and addicting.  I'd be scared to find out my age....is 97 an option?

Hurray Abs! congratulations
