Austin TX Real Estate - Hill Country Austin Lakeway Homes for Sale: Austin Zoo and Animal Sanctuary - Party with the Tigers

Austin Zoo and Animal Sanctuary - Party with the Tigers

Party at the Austin Zoo and Animal Sanctuary!  As you can see below, the Tigers will join in with you as they have their own pool furnished with their own kegs! They had two of them between three tigers.

I'm just kidding because there is no alcohol allowed, but it was hilarious watching the Tiger attack the keg and splash around.  Why is a beer keg the toy of choice??  I wonder how parents explain that one to kids who are old enough to ask questions like that.

Makes you wonder...

Below are a couple of more pictures from our trip to the Austin Zoo and Animal Sanctuary in Austin TX with lots of Austin Wildlife.

What a cute daughter you have!  The Austin Zoo looks like a fun place, especially the drunk tigers.  :)

Nothing worse than a tiger with a hangover!

Jared and Amanda, Thank you!  And the zoo is the perfect size for a toddler, as it's fairly small.

Cindy, No joke!  And both kegs were "floating" which means empty!

Looks like a lot of fun!  I love the zoo, as do the boys.  Can't wait until Hailey can enjoy it too.

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Kathleen

Hi Donna... that monkey looks like Leroy, who used to belong to a friend of mine here in Dallas!  BTW, the pic of Alyssa is too cute.  She takes a great picture!

Pat, There were TWO kegs in the tiger pool!  And yes, they all want to keep Austin weird.

Ceil, There were like 50 peacocks, if not more, in all different shades of blues and greens.

Kathleen, When Alyssa gets older, I'll take her to a "regular" zoo, but for this age, the Austin Zoo is the perfect size.  She still needs to see elephants and giraffes and hippos and things like that.

John, I know!  The turtles are Ginormous and there are so many of them, some can swim and some can't. I can't tell the difference between the turtles and tortoises.

Steve, I kept calling Leroy's name, but no one came forward. I forgot that they print some of the animal names outside the cages.

Very cool post and I have to say I have never been to this zoo! BTW the beer keg is very funny and why knows why it's there???

Tigers and kitties are no diferent. We buy an toy at the pet shop and they prefer a bag of shredded paper. Looks like a fun day at the zoo!

Russell, I don't think there was ever beer in the keg... it's not like you can give a tiger a big teddy bear to play with!  And you need to check it out.  It's small and not too overwhelming like a big zoo.

Trey, Kinda like a kid, huh?
