Hi Donna. I used to notice this same effect, especially with cows, when you walk up to the field they are standing in they all look up and stop and get fixated on you. You captured it perfectly. Maybe it is because they are a prey animal and they are wary of you. Maybe they've all been tipped over one too many times in the moonlight. Not that I ever did that with my angelic self in a past life LOL.

I can just hear them now " Come over here and say that to my face!!"  (LOL)  Instead of the laughing cow it would be the talking cows (LOL)

Donna, This is one of the great things about our state. Cows can be found pretty easily and they make the best subjects for photos.  Love these girls - are they mooving any time soon?
