I'm not sure this tree knows what season it is. This tree is in Falconhead Bee Cave TX, but this is what most all the trees look like in and around Austin TX right now. It's been unseasonably warm, and the trees aren't sure to change colors and drop their leaves yet...

And we wonder why everyone always gets sick when the seasons change? If the trees aren't even sure what season it is, how are we supposed to know how to dress?!!!
Donna, the weather here has been unusually warm the last few days. It didn't stop the leaves from falling though. Nice Photo!
No leaves left here... All the trees are without clothes for the winter except the firs...
We've had one of our prettiest falls here in North Texas though.... Warm is good. I love it warm all through December. I know that's a 50/50 chance with Texas.

Hi Donna... There's one in every crowd. Those trees are stragglers that hang around long enough to create some end of season allergens.

I agree, much the same over here at Canyon Lake but I think since we have had a couple cold nights we will soon see a change. I think the drought has them confused. Ceil just did a blog on Lost Maples, a friend of hers went and said they are changing.

I don't think the live oaks in the hill change color . They drop leaves in the spring and new ones come right back. They are super trees to have though.
I wish we had some leaves - still have snow on the ground from the last snow storm! ~Rita

Loreena, It was really warm two years ago after Alyssa was born. She left the hospital with no hat or boodies on it was so warm.

Steve, But it's not ONE in a crowd, it's the norm here. The trees that are changing colors are the ones standing out in a crowd.

Donna, We have some late changers in our area too. I suppose it depends on the weather but I think pretty soon it will be all over with. Enjoy the green ones while they last!
