Resolve for 2010 - Make the Move - How to Move your Real Estate Business Online

claudia wicks make the move bookHave you resolved to change your ways in 2010?  If you need help figuring out where to start, I highly recommend Claudia Wicks' new book, Make the Move: How to Move Your Real Estate Business Online.

Why is this a great book?  Because I'm in it, silly!!

Just kidding... no, seriously, I am in it.  I'm all of Chapter 15, starting on page 113: A Business Built on the Web.  It's all about how almost all my business is created from something I do online.

Why else is this a great book?  Do you really need another reason?  I already told you I'm in it!!

Ok, ok, seriously... there are a handful of other agents who also explain their move to an online business.  You get not only my perspective, but the perspective of others, and you can see which way would help you Make the Move in 2010.

You'll read about creating a database, going through your database, blogging, creating an internet presence, and so much more.

I get no royalties from the book, so don't think I'm plugging it for my own benefit. I'm plugging it because I'm proud to be part of it, and because it's a great book!  You can order it on Claudia Wicks' website.

Let me know how you decide to Make the Move after reading it!

Best to you in 2010!

Bryant, In Dallas, approx 65% of my business was online.  With the move to Austin last year, it's been 100% generated from online marketing along with referrals from people I met online.  And I also don't pick up a phone to call anyone; it's all drip campaigns...

Donna, thanks for sharing this book. It's an interesting area that continues to grow and expand as almost every aspect of our world becomes more connected through the internet.

Anthony, Exactly, and people still use the same tools in different ways.

Michelle, You really should!

Congrats on your accomplishment, Donna.  That is awesome!  I'm interested in reading the book.  Online marketing is very important with so many buyers and sellers researching on the internet.  Your online success is evident, and I hope you continue it in the future!

Well done Donna. I too rarely make calls. In fact recently I've tried to let most of my calls go to voice mail hoping that they'll also send me an amail so I can respond that way. Communicating by email or text is much more precise and efficient. Less opportunity for error or misunderstandings.

Will, Thank you!

Bryant, I also recently put on my VM for people to email me, and it's working!!  It saves a lot of time, plus hard to understand names can be typed out!

Hi Donna!  You ARE a ROCK STAR!  You go girl!  I am definitely going to have to get this book--most of my biz has gone online but, I still work that sphere too!

Congratulations on your AR success--you've done SO well!

Thanks Donna,

I am making the move. I took a look at what the other 25 realtors are doing in my office and think I have started into my 2010 Marketing Plan and step 1 is to get into full-time blogging and have started building a Word Press website. It was amazing to me that only one in my office is on AR and very few have websites.

I will check out the book.

Tom
