Back in early June, I blogged about a listing appt where I was very embarrassed because I got dizzy and almost passed out. You won't believe it, but I think BabyHarris did it again!!
She kicked and kicked for a couple of hours straight last night, and I couldn't fall asleep because she was playing soccer or something with my insides. I had a listing appt this morning that I was very excited about because I had been in touch with these people for over a year, and they were finally ready to meet.
I get there and we start talking about the house. As we enter the kitchen, I asked for a glass of water as I was feeling a little weird, but I was ok. I drank some water, put the glass down, and we continued... About 20 minutes later, we made it to the secondary bath. All three of us were cramped inside and all of a sudden, I got really hot and sweaty, I couldn't really comprehend the words coming out of Mr. Seller's mouth, though he was pointing to the light fixtures, i was hearing ringing in my ears, my vision got very blurry, and all I could say was, "I'm a little embarrassed, but I need to sit down."
Of course, the closest seat was the tiolet. Mrs. Seller ran and got me a wet washcloth for my neck to cool me off. Mr. Seller ran to get my water. As everything calmed down, we started talking further about the updates they were going to do for the house, from my thrown, the toilet!![]()
After a few minutes, we continued the tour, and in each room, they made me sit down. They even opened the closet doors for me and everything. Boy was I embarrassed, but they were so nice and concerned about everything. They were an older couple, been married for 30 years! Empty nesters and wanting to downsize. She just kept telling me they had three kids and knew what I was going through... but I was still embarrassed!
BabyHarris just doesn't want a college education as she keeps sabatoging my appts... although, maybe she's trying to play the sympathy card like, "List with my Mommy because she's pregnant and I need an education!!" Whatever it is, I can't keep passing out. It's taken so much of my energy today to get back to 85% energy level...

I get my blood pressure checked each time, and it's very normal. Sometimes it's lower than they expect, but I am very active and in good health. And all my tests a couple of weeks ago came back negative, so I don't think it's preeclampsia. I really think I just got overheated. I've had the dizzy symptoms for years, just never at appts before. They usually happen when I get up too quickly or if I'm outside in the heat for too long.
Linda, all in all, the energy loss was maybe a month total for me... but I never had morning sickness and I still haven't had any food aversions. Maybe I'm not normal, but I'm definitely working a lot!! I had about a 4-5 week period of energy loss where I just brought my laptop to work on the couch so I could lay down, and I didn't return calls as promptly, maybe taking an hour or so instead of 5 minutes to call people back. Other than that, it's not as bad as others had told me it would get... Keep in mind that the baby doesn't appear just like that. There is definitely time to get used to the idea, though time is going fast! This week marks 5 months, and it seems like only yesterday that I announced the news!!
Bryant, thanks for your concern. I think I did get the listing because they called me from the counter store to confirm corian counters were ok since I had to spend about 20 minutes talking them out of laminate earlier today.
And after talking to a few other people, I might actually be drinking too much water and not enough electrolites, which is found in gatorade or powerade and those type drinks. I don't like the sugar taste in those, but I looked some stuff up and basically, I need to drink a little bit of something extra each day, not just water. So, I had some lemonade before dinner. Maybe my blood sugar is too low. I have had water intoxication in the past, and that was horrible. Yes, you can drink too much water!!
I have never been pregnant But, I have worked in the heat. Water is great But, Gatorade or Powerade will do more for you.You can alternate if you like but get it in you.You can drink pedialite also. I had to thin it out with water.I became dehydrated one day and had to spend 2 1/2 days in the hospital. I worked as a Ups Driver for 15 years in Florida. After that trip to the ER,I started packing a cooler with gatorade every day in the summertime. No more problems.Remember to start to hydrate yourself the day before. Good to hear the baby is doing fine.
Donna: So, we know BabyHarris is a girl???
So far, I'm doing well with my pregnancy. No dizzy spells but I know what you mean by the heat. I do get a headache once a while but no fainting spells though.
Kim: You are having a baby too? I am 26 weeks this week. Had another sonogram yesterday. Baby is about 1 lb 9 oz. now.
Linda: Enjoy your time with your husband now.... We waited 6 years and be where we are financially. But we are excited about going to the next phase of our lives... We cant wait to see his face.
Loreena, Yep, we know it's a girl... I also had another sonogram yesterday and she's an overacheiver!! Everything was measuring 23w1d, though all other calculations were 21w2d... maybe she'll come before Thanksgiving!!
The three of us definitely need to get together!!
