Austin TX Real Estate - Hill Country Austin Lakeway Homes for Sale: A Tool from RainCamp - What is Your Klout Score?

A Tool from RainCamp - What is Your Klout Score?

klout.com

What is your Klout?  Do you know?  I thought my Klout was strong...

At Raincamp Dallas TX 2010, one of the tools we learned about was Klout.com.  Your Klout score can range from 1-100 and it uses your Twitter username to look you up.  It's a calculation of someone's sphere of influence and how much interaction there is between you and your followers on Twitter.

Yikes... I'm not following many people, but I have a lot of followers.  I thought this was a good strategy because I didn't want to try to follow too many conversations at once.  Well, my Klout score is a 10.  Yes, only TEN!

I have started adding new people to follow, and I'll be sure to start participating in conversation more, and let's see if I can get to a 25 by the end of the month!

What is your Klout score?

Donna - Looks like a cool tool. I'll check it out. My guess is my score is not all that good.

Donna,

Thanks so much for sharing. I probably should be scared to see my score, but it will only help me improve. Best of luck to you!

Posted by Linda Powers, On the Outer Banks (Resort Realty - Duck) almost 9 years ago

I'm not any better. Mine's 13 but I seriously don't have time in growing this score.

Donna I re-blogged this....there are auto blog feeds at the bottom of our AR profiles.  I tweet my blogs and I have a 11....I need to do more.

Hi Donna,   I'm a ZERO......!!!!!

 Bo Derek was a 10........   :-)

I need to get up and running this week!!

It told me to wait for my score.... I am anxiously waiting to see what it is!

I'm going to be pretty low....not a fan of Twitter....too much maintenance required and I have too much to say for 140 characters.

Jeff, I thought I was better than I was... bummer...  I've added 20+ new followers today.

Linda, Yep!

Loreena, I have time to get my message out to more people besides Realtors, as it says my sphere isn't broad enough.

Wallace, Thanks for the reblog!

Robert, Get going!!

Nick, Still waiting?

I don't even want to look. I'm like Karen, have not gotten into that area yet, still have work to do elsewhere, but we'll see . . .

Posted by Frank Kliewer almost 9 years ago

I rarely use Twitter so mine was only a 7.  Time to get on the ball?  I think I'll take a look at this when I get a few minutes.  I prefer Facebook as that has gotten me client after client and referral after referral.

I thought that was very interesting also Donna but I am far lower from a 25...
I hope you had a great day,

Frank, Just do it!

Jared, But Twitter feeds directly to Facebook so you'll still get your FB exposure!

Paul, Me too, I'm at 10!

Thanks for telling us about Klout.  I didn't know about it.  So I checked.  I don't do hardly anything on Twitter so I wasn't surprised that my score was 5 - I think I've got the lowest score here.

Posted by Vicki Pedersen, Providing Exceptional Real Estate Service (Pedersen Real Estate) almost 9 years ago

I hear ya, but I use them differently.  Don't want to fill up my FB friends news feed with 10 Twitter updates a day.  Know what I mean?

Posted by Amanda Christiansen, Christiansen Group Realty (Christiansen Group Realty (260)704-0843) almost 9 years ago

Donna - Mines currently at 0 since I don't have a twitter account yet.  I'm still trying to find the balance with blogging, so it's baby steps for me....

Posted by Michelle Gibson, REALTOR (Hansen Real Estate Group Inc. ) almost 9 years ago

Hi Donna - Mine is only 12, but I haven't been on Twitter too much in the last few months and don't auto-tweet my AR posts. For comparison, Jeff Turner's Klout was 60.

Donna - Your score is better than mine is!  It was only a 6 and definitely shows my lack of interaction on Twitter.

wow... interesting! donna you have some great new toys as I always say! what else did you learn in the rain camp

Posted by Jesse Vasquez, "APPROVED” (Graystone Mortgage LLC) almost 9 years ago

Vicki, Everyone starts somewhere, now you can move it up!

Jared, I don't Tweet 10 times a day...

Michelle, All you need to go is set up a Twitter account and attach AR there, and it's automatic. No extra time!

John, Wow, Jeff had 60!

Lou, THanks!

John, Great score to start with!

Donna, Yikes!  Movin' on up!

Jesse, I'll be posting the things I learned as I try them out...

Donna - I hadn't actually looked at Klout in awhile, but hearing what Ben had to say about it at Raincamp made me curious again.  I am at 61 there right now.

I just re-signed up with twitter on Friday. Twitter seems less fun to me than facebook. LinkedIn is even more of a puzzle. I'd love to find more people on Twitter. If you are not careful, these social sites will suck up all your time. I think I might need a type of FACEBOOK addiction program soon.

Posted by Amy Law (Alliance Properties) almost 9 years ago

Donna if your klout score is 10,then I am sure my score is less than that-LOL. I am definitely going to check this out. Thank you very much for sharing. About time you Rain campers start sharing some of the brilliant stuff that you learned-LOL. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. Great post.

Ok I checked it out and maybe I should have played the lottery today - my score was "9".  I only tweet my ActiveRain blogs, occasional real estate related things, and check in when I am bored. Anybody I want to interact with I most likely already know their phone number and e-mail, so ....

Donna:

I am pretty sure my score is horrible, because I don't even have a Twitter accont yet.

I am afraid Twitter will trigger my epilepsy!

Ok - so let me revise my statement. After the FULL analysis I was a whopping - - - - - - -- 10. LOL. And it gave me this statement:

skappre is a connector

You are a constant source of information to your friends and co-workers. There is a good chance that you probably introduced several of your friends to Twitter. Your taste and opinion is respected and your judgment is trusted.

Now I feel like I just ate a fortune cookie ...

Posted by Stephen Kappre, Helping You Home (KW Hometown) almost 9 years ago

O.K., I signed up but, I don't expect much since I don't tweeter much. I did start out following and asking for people to follow me but I pay no attention to what they say and pretty much expect those that follow me to have hit the mute button.
