Did you really, seriously, honestly think that the tax credit would be extended again? What planet were you living on when you thought that would happen? Our government has no money! We are seriously in debt! Where would the money come from to keep handing it out?
Plus, and here's the huge PLUS, if it was extended this time, what would make buyers think they had to rush to buy something when they would continue to think the tax credit would be extended time and time again. Deadlines are given for a reason, and that reason is to light a fire under the American people to get off the fence and buy houses, and invest their money in real estate.
Extending and extending this tax credit only keeps people on the fence with no urgency to do much of anything.
If you think there will be a last-minute extension, think again. It's April 14, 2010 and you have 16 days to execute a contract, unless you're in the military, in which you have another year.
Get out there and buy a house!!

China absolutely loves us. The United States owes them so much and the interest is being compounded dramatically that in our life time we will not see a balanced budget and debt free.
Don, I'm sure they do. Did China or any other country give money to Haiti or any other country recently devastated? I hate that we keep sending money we don't have to other countries as who helped us when big issues have aroused, besides China?
Donna, I so agree with you. Let's stop the "free" handouts with our tax dollars that the government doesn't have.
Linda, Thanks!!
The government extended the program twice with enhancements each time. We can only get people motivated with firm deadlines any more!
Your friend from Washington State,
Paul
Hi Donna... it's time for the tax credit to end. Whether there's a need for it in the future or not, time will tell, but for now, enough is enough. We can't prime the pump forever!
Donna: As soon as folks find a decent paying job and have an income they will come knocking. Folks can not buy without income and jobs is such an issue. They need to bring some of these manufacturing jobs back to this country. Real estate is still a very good investment. The market is picking up down in our area nicely.
Donna
It's time to get off the fence and take action and buy.
Good luck and success.

Donna - I'm sure a lot of buyer's are assuming there is going to be another extension and the tax credit will be enhanced even more.
Paul, I think it was only extended the first time because a $7500 "credit" that had to be paid back was a stupid idea...
Steve, Exactly!
C & C, The Market isn't too shabby here either. Was just in multiple offer situation and my buyers went FULL price since it had been on the market just a week!! Unbelievable.
Lou, That's right!
Michelle, Too assume makes an "ass" out of "u" and "me". :)
I'm with you on this one Donna, it will not be extended...
