The Backyard at Bee Cave TX is almost ready for it's opening act headlined by... ZZ TOP!
That's right, ZZ TOP is The Backyard's first show on Sunday, April 25, 2010. Doors open at 6:30pm with the show at 8pm.
What I find pretty interesting, and cool, is that you can buy an upgrade package. No more of this "backstage pass" lingo. It's now called an "upgrade package". What's included in the ZZ Top Upgrade Package? You get to meet and greet ZZ Top after the show and get personal autographs. I mean, who wants an autograph made out to someone else? This one will be personal!
You'll also get a special t-shirt, tour poster, official ZZ Top guitar picks, a keychain, and limited edition "Cheap Sunglasses".
How much does that cost you? Only $250... However, that does not include a ticket, but you have to have a ticket in order to buy the upgrade package. Tickets are $49.50, so for a cool $300, you can have a snazzy good time with ZZ Top!
The new location of The Backyard is just West of 620 on Highway 71 in Bee Cave TX.

I am sure there are some die hard ZZ Top fans who will be jumping at the chance to do this. Sounds like fun- Does the money go to charity?
Donna, The Backyard must be a cool venue to open with ZZ Top! And that package would thrill a fan I'm sure!
Ellie, No, it's not charity. The Backyard is a real venue with concerts year around. They moved locations about a mile down from their previous location.
Susan, I'm sure it would, but it would have been nice to include the ticket in that $250 price.

Do they have a limit on the upgrade package they are offering? You would think it would include the ticket. But ZZ Top is a top name group. They were even in Back To The Future 3.
OK, so... the important questions... are you going to the show and did you upgrade yourself???

Sounds like a great venue and what an opening act.
No, I am not going to the show, however I might make an appearance at the Bee Cave City Park and listen to it from there since they're just a few feet from each other.
All right... some ZZ TOP. I think those guys have looked the same since I was a child.
Plus you get to see ZZ Top, I have to say that was one off my favorite concerts, they put on a pretty darn good show.
Love ZZ....and the song they did about La Grange which is out my way!
