The creatures of Austin strike again... look what joined me at dinner...
I thought it was dead as it looked curled up, but I touched it with a knife and it sprinted to the other side frantically trying to get up the wall. This is the fourth one in sixteen months in my house. AND we fumigate regularly!
Where are they coming from? This is disgusting!!

* Do Scorpions Eat Much? * was first published on donnahomesblog.com

Not the nicest thing to find in your house. Do you check your beds before going to sleep? That's crazy high numbers....
They say everything is BIG in Texas. I'm glad that critter isn't.
ick -- these bad boys freak me out!
Donna
It looks like a very unwelcome visitor. You will need a terminator.
Good luck and success.

That is one big scorpion. They do grow things big in Texas. If you have already exterminated, how long do they guarantee? Must be hard to get rid of.
Donna, that would probably cure me of my habit of lying on the floor to watch TV!
Donna - When I first moved down to Florida I seen a scorpion and it scared the crap out of me. I didn't realize that we have them in Florida.
Seems whenever you have a new home it takes awhile to get them to go visit somewhere else. He just wanted to know what was for breakfast. I stepped on one in the garage the other night that is why Ceil always wears shoes.
Donna,
As far as I understand these are not the venomous ones but very painful. When I was a shild in Centalk Asian part of the USSR where they had venomous scorpions, they used to keep a jar with vegetable oil, and when they would catch a scorpion, they would throw it into the oil and lept them there. This oil was used to ease pain from the stings.
I don't thin I eased you concerns, though
Oh...man, living in the Hill Country and near areas that are not well developed or on green belts and valleys, these nasty creatures are ubiquitous. Thsy don't eat much but that have an incredibly painful sting! Squash them with anything in site, shoe, flyswatter, on the stove-fire p the burner, whatever is handy!
Donna...
We once had a pet scorpion at work that we fed crickets, but we didn't let him run loose around the house!!!
Hi Donna.....You could not hardly find a scorpion for years...
Then about 10 years ago seems like there's a plague..... My neighbors feel the same ...
That would send me running out of the house! My cousin lives in Wyoming and they have to deal with rattle snakes. No thank you!
Everything IS bigger in Texas. Wow, I am not too squeamish, but that might send me over the top....
For those grossed, you're probably glad I didn't post the video of it that I did on Facebook. It took a long time to die with the bug sprays.
