Some of you saw the posting on Facebook, while others who aren't my "friend" have not seen the news... I went ahead and chopped my hair off!
I didn't go as short as I initially thought I would. I thought I would go above the ears. I chickened out!! But that's ok, because the length turned out great.
I'm not partial to the curly version, so after a couple of hours of trying to get used to it, I washed it and straightened it. MUCH Better!!
Some people have been confused about the length. Yes, curly hair shrinks and is shorter than when it's straight. Why? I think that's physics 101. You take a straight line and then put bends and twists in it. That same line is no longer the same length.

That's cool! I know the feeling. I just had mine cut even shorter and than yours a few days ago. Freaked me out for awhile. I wish it was long again now though.
wish I had curly hair...
Donna, my hair is curly/wavy and I have spent my whole life making it look smooth and straight! And Linda who must have straight hair wishes she had curly hair. Are we fickle or what? lol BTW, the new look looks great!

I use to get upset when my hair was cut toooo short, now it doesn't matter...the hair grows back! Great hair cut!

Hello Donna - I think it looks great too. My wife loves to grow hers out only to end up hating it. Then she cuts it all off and hates that length too. So, she'll grow it back out and the cycle begins again. Like Rebecca said, It will grow back!
