Did you hear about the Coldwell Banker Burnet agent, Steven Skar, who is in the middle of a lawsuit along with his former broker because some sellers in Minnesota are suing him for having some indiscretions in their house?? This story is hilarious... I'm sure it's sad for the sellers, but when you read all the details, it's pretty darn funny to think an agent would be so stupid!
The premise is that this agent has the house listed and the sellers leave the country for a few months. While the sellers are gone, the neighbors emailed the sellers some concerns about lights being on and their agent being there at odd times.
Long story short, the sellers come home to a house that is completely stained and soiled. I'm sorry, but what kind of stuff could be going on where they have soiled that many things in that many rooms, and we're not talking about the agent throwing a "party" in the house??
Coldwell Banker Burnet actually spent over $7000 to clean the home and replace things that were ruined, but that's not good enough for the home owners, and I don't blame them. They are grossed out and can't even live in the house. They don't like the idea of certain activities going on in their "marital bed".
What was this agent thinking? Is he that sloppy in his own home? From the details, it just sounds completely and utterly gross. How do you get stains on a lamp? ICK!
The agent had his license stripped by the state so he's no longer allowed to practice real estate. I'm not sure exactly what other punishment they can dish out to him, but it makes you wonder if you know of anyone capable of doing something like this.

Wow, in my own state and everything. How have I missed this news? Crazy that an agent would be that rude to ruin a house.
Wow... that's not only gross ... it's stupid. What was this man thinking?
My, I can't imagine what this crazy agent was thinking, well, he got caught and what he deserved.
Cheaper than a motel... and maybe nicer? But that doesn't mean our clients homes are our playgrounds.
A few years ago an agent in DC told me a similar story. Some people just don't think.
Hi Donna... Poor judgement does not even begin to cover this one!
Utterly gross. You're right. I hate to start imagining. But you would think most people would at least have their heads on right. But not this one, I guess.
It's bad that the BROKER got involved too. It's hard to be perfectly responsible for another adult's action.
Do I really want to SPONSOR agents? Just the thought freaks me out. I have no control who does what on their "personal" time.
Now that was totally gross. Wonder how many new listings the broker is going to get after this.
This is just plain weird! Maybe that agent should lose his license...
Unbelievable that anyone would do that. Thank goodness for good, caring neighbors who alerted the homeowners. This is a disgrace to our profession.
Lindsey, And it's been going on for a couple of months too. Did you look up the property? Did it sell?
Richard, He wasn't?
Rita, But dragging his broker down with him...
Lane, From the picture in the story, the house doesn't look all that nice... just sayin'...
Bruce, Of course this wouldn't be the first time...
Steve, Nope, not at all.
Loreena, It's legally the broker's listing, so they would have to get involved. Sad.
Mike, True...
Shirley, He did.
Missy, I know!
What a bunch of idiots.
Donna - I hope this guy had fun while it lasted. What was he thinking
Unbelievable...I did not see that one!
I've heard of agents doing some really stupid things but that takes the cake. How short sighted can someone be to throw away their career like that.
