Last month, Alyssa made some art for her baby brother's room. I felt it fair that she could make some art for her own room as well. Almost 4 hours later, we have our masterpieces... All four images are made with her hand prints.
She painted the sky and the grass, and did her prints. Of course, I did have to help with the necks and legs of the flamingos, as well as the sand on the bottom. She picked the colors of the flamingos, and they turned out great.
Again, Alyssa painted the sky and the grass. I painted different colors on her hands for the butterfly prints. It didn't turn out the greatest, but nothing is perfect... When I had to paint her arm for the tree trunk, apparently that tickles a lot as it was hard to do... She painted the tree leaves with a sponge, and made flowers.
We'll be finding a place in her room to hand these!

Those are so cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am sure they will look great in her room.
How cute and so creative. I love that you used her hand print. This is the kind of quality time with mom that special memories are made of!
That is really good.
Good job, Alyssa!
Holly, Thanks!
Sharon, If you can take away the frustrations of flowers in the sky and sky in the grass... but it was fun!
Missy, Thank you!
Don't forget to date these great works of art. I am sure they will look amazing on her wall.
Ellie, Thanks for the reminder!
Donna
It looks like Alyssa is a budding artist, I enjoyed the post.
Good luck and success.

Donna - what a great idea! I have seen it done around Christmas with reindeer antlers, but this is a first for flamingos and butterflies. Quite the little artist!
Donna, those are realy wonderful. At one point in her life she'll be embarrassed by these and a few years later she will cherish them.
Those are great Donna! Looks like you have a young artist on your hands! :)
Lou, I hope she's able to have an artistic outlet as she grows up.
Chris, And the tree! That trunk is her wrist and arm. She held still very nicely.
Gabe, I just want to watch how her hands grow over time! Hopefully the flamingos one can be passed down...
Jared, She loves painting!!
Donna, those are great!! She is a very talented little girl. I love doing art projects with my girls when they were young like Alyssa, now they are good artists themselves, and I just hang their "masterpieces" in my office.
What a Doll you have there, any who knows, maybe an artist too.
How precious! Certainly something to treasure for a lifetime.

Awww, that is too adorable. My son is 16 months old and I have a baby girl due in January. Maybe I should get him to do some decorative art as a gift and a way to decorate her room. Thanks for sharing the idea!
This is perfect art for her room. Are you planning to frame them? Alyssa looks so pleased with her cute self!
