Austin TX Real Estate - Hill Country Austin Lakeway Homes for Sale: BabyHarris2 Update - Week 35 - Home Stretch

BabyHarris2 Update - Week 35 - Home Stretch

I haven't given an update about BabyHarris2 since week 19. Lots has happened since then. I'm currently in week 35!! In so many ways, time has gone by really fast. In other ways, it's been pretty slow...

For those who don't recall, the baby is a boy. No, we don't have a name yet.  Up until a couple of days ago, he was breech. I spent a lot of time freaking out about getting a C-Section. I tried almost everything to get him to flip. I was hanging upside down, which I'm sure was a funny site.  I put a cold compress on his head with a warm compress on his legs to get him to want to move away from the cold.

I even played music away from his head to get him to move towards the music... He seemed to really like Billy Joel's Piano ManNothing seemed to be working.

This past week, he had a major growth spurt. I know this because I wasn't uncomfortable until this past week!  All of a sudden I was huge... well, I felt huge anyway.  Then, a couple of days ago, I felt a war going on. Constant fighting with kicks and punches and scratches.

I had an ultrasound done yesterday to check positioning because it was about time to schedule a C-Section if that's what needed to be done... he FLIPPED!!  That war I felt inside was him deciding to behave and do what he's supposed to do. What a good little boy.  He earned some points!!

At the ultrasound, the tech flipped over to the 3D/4D mode, so I actually have pictures of what he looks like.  So cute with a pudgy face!  I'm not going to post them though. He's not ready to make his appearance just yet... try explaining to an almost 3 year old how I got a picture of the baby inside my tummy. That was a fun conversation!!

Overall, I feel like a beached whale, but doing ok. I'm currently 10-12 pounds lighter than when I was pregnant with Alyssa, so my knees are feeling good.  We're aiming for before Thanksgiving, so another 4 weeks...

So happy for you Donna!  I saw your post feed through FB and had to jump on to congratulate you!  I know you were worried about him flipping and I'm so glad that he has.

I'm sure you still look awesome just like you did last month!

Hang in there!  It's almost over!

Sincerely,

Kathleen

Congratulations!  I'm so happy for you that he finally turned around.  So I guess the other good news is what this might say about his personality...while it might seem like he is being defiant, he will do the right thing in the end. :)

Congratulations Donna, first I heard about this.  I hope the rest of the pregnancy goes very well with as little discomfort as possible.  (But what does a guy know about this anyway!)

Cindy, I hope so too!!

Kathleen, Nope, he had a growth spurt and I'm HUGE!

Kristen, If only that were true...

Missy, Yep, it's been a long few months!

Gabe, All my husband knows is that I'm hot and he's freezing, which is a change from the normal.

That's great news....and I really do know that C-sections are no fun...but having had 3 "naturally" I always thought complete numbness sounded like a good idea. But I know this is great news....so congratulations and can't wait for the pix.

Kristin, No names...

Karen, Believe me, it's not "complete" numbness. I had to get the guy back in twice because the epidural had worn off.
