Here's another long awaited BabyHarris update!
I went to the doctor's today with an entire list of questions. I love my doctor. He spent over 30 minutes with me going over all my questions and even gave me another ultrasound to ease a couple of my concerns! Most doctors are like in and out in under 5 minutes.
BabyHarris is currently 30 weeks and 5 days. One of my concerns was the amniotic fluid because it measured low at my 21 week ultrasound, so he did a quick measurement today and I'm at 14 cm. Amniotic fluid should be between 5-25 cm, and to be only 9 cm at week 21 and then supposed to lose fluid in the third trimester, I was a little concerned. She's made up for it by now being at an acceptable level. Blood Presure is back normal again at 102/52.
It was also confirmed for the third time that BabyHarris is definitely a SHE and not a he!
My itchiness is still very much there, but the rash has subsided. My OB said today that he really doesn't think it's PUPPP because I don't have stretch marks, but 3 conversations with the dermatoloigist says it is PUPPP. Either way, I'm still on antihistamines and cortisone cream to help with the itchiness.
I asked about inducement at 38 weeks because of the miserable itchiness, but my doctor doesn't believe in "social inducement". Apparently, the hostpital about 10 minutes from here is #1 in the state for social inducements. One of his reasons being that first time births are harder to induce and typically lead to C-Section and he rather not do that. He said he could check at 36 weeks to see how things are going before agreeing to any time of inducement... shucks!!
Anyway, BabyHarris is moving a lot. Her head is currently in the "ready" position pointing down, but he said she could still move around. Also I measured at 31 weeks so I'm measuring 1 week ahead of schedule right now. I'm not even going to tell you what my weight gain was in just these 3 weeks because it's a very disturbing number. I mean, I thought the baby was supposed to help burn calories, but apparently not!!

Congratulations on your NEW BABY TO BE and your excitement for becoming a MOMMY!!! I remember of these emotions and the overwhelming exitement!! Please continue to share your excitement with the AR world as well as anyone else who even seems interested. This is an experience you will truly remember FOREVER!! My oldest is 13 and I remember his like it was yesterday...
Congrats on your BABY GIRL who'll be here before you know it!! Enjoy the kickin' and wigglin' too! It ends way to soon!!
Susie, Thank you! The kickin' and the wigglin' is starting to get me sea sick! And it seems everyone is always interested. I was at an end of summer party on Saturday and people kept asking when I was due. I finally started asking what they were talking about. I was like, "Pregnant? Me? Nah, I'm just heavy." No one fell for it.
Rich, I'm trying I'm trying... very hard I'm trying to enjoy everything else inspite of the itching.
Leigh, As the weather has gotten cooler, I'm definitely walking more. My poor Oscar can barely keep up since he's now out of shape for not walking consistantly the last couple of months, but I'll whip him back into shape to get back up to almost 2 miles a day. Grown up dinner?? Did you know Peter Pan peanut butter is back on the shelves?? I had a PB&J sandwhich for dinner last night cuz I was SOOO excited!!
Kim, 7 more days, that's amazing!! Time sure went by fast. Did you go to the Plano Divine Consign? I was there last night and didn't get home until after 11pm!! The line was an hour long to check out. I got a lot of things for my mom's house, all for under $100!!! I'm going back on Thursday as that's when everything not already sold goes for 1/2 price! I'll be there bright and early at 8am!!
Kim: I cant believe that your day is so near.... Wow... All the best.
Donna: Thanks for your update. I enjoy reading and getting them. Are you slowly "wrapping" up your business for a little while? How do you plan to make the child birth and business work hand in hand?
As for me. I've been put from hospital bedrest (all week last week) to home bedrest. So, no more showings for me. I didnt anticipate this until mid-October since I am not due till end of October. My baby will probably be here soon. Doctors are putting me on medication to stop the contractions and hopefully the dilation too. I'm 34 weeks and 35 week tomorrow. I am so glad he didnt come at 33-weeks. I think it would make a whole lot of difference between being born at 33-weeks vs. 36/37 weeks.
I'm just simply amazed and in awe to even begin thinking what are the chances of having 3 realtors working in and around the same metroplex, being pregnant right around the same time and having met on Active Rain. Wow!!!! Maybe we should have a group photo after the babies arrive safely!!!
Loreena, Yes, I can't believe it either. What a huge coinsidence!
I just posted a blog about Plano's Consign Divine. Have either of you ever gone? I went last night and bought a bunch for under $100!! Being on bedrest, you might not be able to go, but you might want to sneak out of the house and check it out.
I haven't really been wrapping up anything yet since I still have 8-9 weeks left. Plenty of time! I have 7 or 8 listings right now. I have 3 of those under contract, and I'll deal with the others as offers come in. Most of the buyers I've been getting lately have been in Tarrant County so I've been able to refer them to another agent in my office who works over there.
It's funny that they're trying to stop your contractions when I discussed with my dr yesterday about how you can make contractions start, in which he told me there are things that can be done at week 36 if I'm really wanting her before 40 weeks.
Yes, we need a group picture and we'll all report back to AR after the Holidays with all the kids!
Donna,
I was just thinking of you the other day and wondering how you were getting along. So wonderful to hear everything is going great! Congratulations again!!!
Jeannette, Thank you. Yes, things are moving along. They are definitely moving at a much slower rate than the earlies weeks, but to be 31 weeks tomorrow is unbelievable! It seems like I found out it's a girl months ago, but it was at week 20 which was "only" 11 weeks ago. Time just stands still at this point.
