Austin City Limits at the Moody Theater had its first performance ever last night with the Imagination Movers and Choo Choo Soul. I took my daughter to her first live performance and she had a blast.
Imagination Movers was her first show to ever watch. She was almost a year old at the time, back in the late summer of 2008. We were at a friend's house and I saw it come on the tv. I had no idea what it was, but I saw that Alyssa was just mesmerized. It took me a few days, but I figured out what it was and set up a season pass on the DVR. She watched it almost every day. She would "dance" to the music. By "dance", I mean she would go up and down at the knees.
To see her dance to the music last night, I had a smile on my face the entire time. She has grown up so much. As someone on Facebook pointed out, there was a toddler mosh pit to the left of the stage, and my daughter and her friend were both involved in that. It was embarrassing, but knowing that everyone there had kids and understood the chaos, it was fun to watch!
Imagination Movers was opened by Choo Choo Soul. They were a lot of fun and got the place warmed up quite nicely. At the end, Imagination Movers even invited Choo Choo Soul up on stage to dance and sing with them. The show wasn't too long and definitely not too short. They are on their way to Houston and then up to Dallas before heading out of Texas. Catch their show if you can!
Austin City Limits was jamming with the toddler crowd!
