Austin TX Real Estate - Hill Country Austin Lakeway Homes for Sale: Dallas Real Estate- CSS bought eHomeshowings.com

Dallas Real Estate- CSS bought eHomeshowings.com

It was announced yesterday that eHomeshowings.com has been bought by CSS, Centralized Showing Services.  It was inevitable.  EHS was never as big as CSS.  I used CSS when I was with a previous broker, so when I had to sign up with EHS, a much smaller company, I was disappointed.  I love being able to call one number to schedule all my appointments, and I get a little irritated when I have to call multiple numbers.  Well, to be signed up myself with EHS, I was making sure all other agents always had to call at least 2 numbers if scheduling multiple showings.

In my area, you must be signed up where your broker is signed up, so there was not an option for me when I switched brokers.  I am so glad to be back with the big-dog of scheduling showings, and hopefully my sellers won't have to tell me that they never got a call, which sometimes happened.

If CSS is not currently available in your area, and you're looking into signing up with a showing company, you should check them out at www.showings.com.  I do not get paid for any endorsing...

I didn't even realize that there were such services for realtors.  Knowing these kind of cutting edge type of services, helps me to bring new tools to all the realtors we deal with.  Thanks!

One call to set up showings is only a dream for me Donna!  Up here we still call the phone to show, which is most often the homeowner, to set up our showings.  The cell phone companies would starve if this service was available in my area.  Perhaps someday this service will be available in the Great Northwest?

You have to call the owners?  That only happens here if the listing is a discount broker as they're not signed up with the showing services and expect sellers to make their own appts, I mean, they're paying a discount... but other than that, if the listing is not through the showing service, you have to call the listing agent, but that's mostly for the Ma 'n Pa shops that don't want to spend under $25 a month for an appt service.... the price of convenience!

I would like to invite more agents nationally but I just don't know them ;) By inviting local people I hop to grow my local network to a size that "it's" hard to compete with. I am not to worried about local agents, mortgages etc beating me out just yet :P Thanks for the tip I will keep it in mind when meeting people nationally :) Take care!!

We use CSS also in our area.  It's fantastic.  I realize not all markets have it..I couldn't live without it!
