Strange Weather Anyone?? 50 Degree Drop in ONE day!

The above is the weather forcast for Dallas for the next 5 days.  You might look at it and think to yourself that it doesn't look too bad, but think again.

It shows a high of 75 days.  It shows a high of 35 tomorrow.  In and of itself, that's a 40 degree drop.  What the chart does not tell you is that the 35 degrees for the high is the high temperature registered tomorrow morning after midnight.  As the day goes on, it's getting colder and colder. 

What that means is a 50 degree drop in less than 24 hours!!  Yes, 50 degrees in ONE day!!

Can anyone top that right now with this weeks crazy weather going on??

I remember the RE/MAX convention held in Dallas many years ago (late 80's I believe).  The day everyone was leaving there was an ice storm - many people got stuck at their hotels because the shuttle and cab drivers were reluctant to drive to the airport.  It was a wild day!   And RE/MAX never returned to Dallas in February/March.

That happened to me once and I was out in a canoe for the day.  That was the day I decided I would never go in a boat without a motor again.  Ever

i went to school one morning in shorts and tanktop. everyone else but me and another guy wore 'britches' and long sleeves.

when we looked out at lunch we knew why. SNOW!!!!!

Donna... i already brought in a load of firewood.... wrapped the outside faucets..... got hot chocolate for the wife and boy.......

gonna be fun

Yes, I just saw the tornado warning... only until 7pm though.

I made chili (slow cooker) so that was great for tonight and will be great for 28 degrees tomorrow.

When the roads ice, people don't leave their houses.  The entire area shuts down.  It's pretty funny!

Tornado warning is over, but it's thundering and lightninging like crazy out there... and it's dropped like 20 degrees already!!

Hi Donna, wow that is a wicked change. We're getting some wild weather as well in Montreal. It's supposed to be +16C tomorrow and then down to -5C on Friday. I think winter has arrived. :-(

Temps down about 20 degrees in Las Vegas with a cold breeze out of the north ... and freeze warnings for this evening. In fact, current temp is only 28! Brrrrrr.

Wow, what a single day change.  SLC weather was very warm during thanksgiving with 70 degree days.  Tomorrow won't go above 20 and it is supposed to hit 9 tonight.  Winter finally arrived.

We had huge temperature changes this summer visiting Jackson Hole, Wyoming - talk about the need for layered dressing!

I vote with my son in California - on a weekend he can drive to the beach, or drive to Tahoe and ski, but doesn't get that variation right at home in a day.

We're going to get SNOW!! SNOW!!!

Temps officially hit 80 yesterday, not just 75.  It's currently 30 degrees and going to get to 25, so we're talking about a 55 degree drop in one day, not just 50!

Austin had a wild ride too.  We went from 78 to 37 with 20-40 mph winds.

37, Sam??  Gimme a break!!  Do you know how many mornings I've woken up the past 2 weeks and the temps were below 25 degrees??  I was even stupid enough to walk the dog at 22 degrees one morning and 24 another morning... no more!!  It must be at least 35 degrees to walk the dog from now on!!

Good seeing you... you haven't been around much!
