Austin TX - Forbes says Austin, from Round Rock to the North down to San Marcus to the South, is #1 Boom Town! It sounds like they aren't counting Georgetown just North or Round Rock, as Georgetown is holding its own these days with a lot of growth.
This ranking is nothing new to Austin TX by now. We've been on several lists recently. Some of what was taken into account for this Boom Town ranking is the recent census numbers in part with job growth. I remember dropping my jaw last month when I read the report that Austin TX was going to grow by 6000 residents in just one month this summer. That's a lot! I wish they were all buying houses. I think only a small number of about 10% buy houses over renting when relocating, but don't quote me on that stat...
Things are definitely BOOMING with all the new construction communities still going hot and heavy. One of the builders in my neighborhood of Falconhead West in Bee Cave TX said they anticipate only 14 more months of building as they can't keep inventory on the ground.
Other Texas cities, because you know Texas, as a whole, always does well in these rankings, are San Antonio at #4, Houston at #5, and Dallas at #7. With all the millions of people already in those cities, it's hard to believe they can still boom with so much more population!
If you're thinking of moving here, or moving from one end of the area to the other, please contact me today! I wish I could get today's rates without going through the hassle of refinancing!!
