I Took a Forced Day Off Today - Mr Grumpy Pants Was at My House

What does a Sinus Infection and an Ear Infection look like on a baby? Mr Grumpy Pants...

Poor little guy couldn't breathe so he's going around the house with his tongue sticking out like a dog panting. It's so cute... his nose is so stuffed up that, and this is gross, the nastiness is draining out his eyes...

Even with the ear infection, he still finds it soothing to play the guitar...

These pictures are too cute. Poor guy. I had my daughter home today with the stomach flu. I can feel for you and your situation. Get well soon, Mr. Grumpy Pants.

I hate watching mine suffer- there is nothing more painful. Your little guy seems to be taking it well. I hope he has a speedy recovery.

He is feeling better, so I took him to school today. I think he's enjoyed sticking his tongue out as he does it on command now, and loves it when you mimmick it back.  He ate some cherrios this morning, so I hope that means his appetite is coming back.

Kasey, He's 9 1/2 months.

Scott, I've been around since June 2006.

Mine is 9 1/2 too!  She looks smaller and younger than your sweek kid.  I love his guitar!  My daughter refuses to learn to crawl.  She can basically do everything, can pull herself up, can wiggle around every which way, but she will not crawl.... I hope he's feeling better today! -Kasey

Kasey, She won't crawl? At least you don't need to put up babygates and such. He crawls all over the place and has since around 6 months old. He's figured out how to walk holding onto furniture so he'll go from his castle to the ottoman to the chair, and then go in reverse... he likes to chase my daughter back and forth on the couch...

Just put something slightly o ut of reach that she wants, and she'll go for it.

Yeah, it's been kind of nice to have her wait so long - makes it easier to work and bring her along places when she is not so mobile.  Having her start at 6 months would have been an adventure!  I've tried the putting something in front of her thing, she just gets irritated and gives up.  She did push herself backwards across the room this morning though, it's not crawling, but I guess she is getting where she wants to go, slowly but surely.  She can also bounce herself across the room when she is sitting up, which is kind of funny and takes her forever to get anywhere, a centimeter at a time :-)  -Kasey

It is always an adventure juggling motherhood and work.  So glad he is feeling better.  You can see from his eyes in the picture, how rough he felt.  Poor baby!  My 4 year old son has a chronic health issues and every day is a juggling feat to get his needs met and do my job.  Good luck to you!
