Austin TX Real Estate - Hill Country Austin Lakeway Homes for Sale: Foto Friday - View from a Child

Foto Friday - View from a Child

For Alyssa's birthday this week, so got her very first digital camera.  She is always bugging us about taking pictures and then she wants to see them immediately. With her own camera, she can take pictures and view them whenever she wants.

Here are a couple of pictures she took before her party:

At first, I was annoyed that she's not looking at the screen correctly nor aiming her pictures. Then, I was reminded that these pictures were taken from "her view".  She's little so she doesn't always see above the legs.  You should see all the pictures I deleted. She had about 50 of my mom's legs!

I know she will enjoy her new camera. Maybe a step stool will help and a tilt-up of the camera...look for mom's and dad's smiling face. She will do great taking pics of baby brother.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Donna:  How adorable.  Hopefully you will save some of these picutres... the first ones of her budding career as a photographer.  Just think how much fun it will be showing these to her boyfriends (if you ever let her have any)... when she is a teen-ager.

Hi Donna - That is so funny.  But it reminds me of what a child psychologist said on TV years ago: parents should get down on their children's level and move through the house to see things from their point of view.  It can be frustrating not to be able to reach anything.  Then too, you might discover some hazards down there.

Donna - we all need to remember we were once children ourselves and that they have a very different perspective view on life than we do

Donna:  Two things come to mind...the book, "look at the child, a monetssori book and the poem, "Walk With Me Daddy",

Donna,, very interesting but children get better with age, so she could be into becoming a pro at this with time.

Looks like fun and a great opportunity to teach her and learn from her while seeing the world you share from her perspective. Best of luck.

C&C, I tried getting her to wait until she could see us on the screen, but she's all about snap snap snap.

Lou, So true!

Wandanna, Thanks!

Joan, Mike and I are the tallest in our families, so my mom has issues taking pics also.

Laura, Thanks for stopping by!

Sussie, Thanks!

Karen Anne, Yes, she has her very own folder on my computer!

Susan, I've done that, and we found lots of places the painters missed!

Kathy, Me? Never!

Jane, I'll look into them.

Will, Better with age, like a wine?

Randy, That's where her brother and the dog come in!

George, Exactly!

Jared, Thanks!!

Haha, isnt that cute? Reminds me of going to an event with my son - he was about 5 and a half. I asked if he enjoyed seeing all the sights - he muttered, "all I got to see were people's behinds."  No doubt, quite true from his perspective.
