Yesterday, I started having some pretty good contractions. About 9pm, I noticed they were about 6-7 minutes apart. I called the on-call doctor since mine is out of town. She told me to give it an hour. I gave it 2 hours...
At midnight, we gathered all the stuff needed, and we headed to the hospital. Contractions were coming 1-2 minutes apart and 4-5 minutes apart... but didn't dilate past 2cm, so they just sent me home.
Being sent home was good because I can actually eat something as I'm starving, but I don't like being sent home because the contractions are so close, how do I know when I should go back up there??
Oh well, I'll figure it out. Hopefully she comes today. PLEASE keep your fingers crossed for me!!

Donna,
We wish you and the baby the very best!
God Bless!
I'll be thinking of you, Donna. Walking is good. Enema can help (though it didn't with me). However, just remember, the apple will fall off the tree when it's darned good and ready - you're sort of along for the ride on this one, so relax and enjoy it as much as you can! I did discover that just relaxing and going with the flow made the contractions remarkably easier - not easy, but easier - to take. It's still hard work - they call it labor for a reason!
Thanks!! I've been walking the entire pregnancy so that doesn't seem to help any as my body is used to the motion, but I still do it. The dog was so exhausted when we got back from a walk, and I even did extra on the treadmill...
Also, no enema is needed as I had the major "body getting ready" diarrhea yesterday (I know, too much info, but you guys brought it up).
I got some sleep. Contractions are much stronger. Mike just went to get some spice Pei Wei, and I anticipate being back at the hospital tonight. We'll see!!
Rain drop?
Good one Bryan!!!!!!
Donna, just be patient.... SHE knows when it is time.....
Rain drop!! I love it! :)
You're almost there, Donna! How exciting! I still remember being in labor with both of mine... the anticipation is enough to drive ya crazy.
Well, I was back at the hospital last night as the doctor wanted me on the monitor for an hour... They're so scared to do anything with my normal doctor out of town, so I have to call this morning to get an appt instead of waiting until my Wednesday appt.
It is sprinkling around here, and I could definitely use that Rain Drop!
