BabyHarris Update 11/15/07- WATER BROKE! Currently at Hospital in Labor

No one thought I would actually do it, but here I am in labor at the hospital and I'm posting a blog!!!

My water broke at 7:20pm Central time, and it's currently 11:45pm.  I'm on a Pitocin drip to help increase the contractions for more consistency.

I'm SOOOO thirsty but no fluids allowed.  My doctor said it was ok, but the anesthesiologist person said no... I can eat popsicles though.

I'll post again after the baby gets here!!  YEAH!!

Donna, how exciting for you! I've had the pit drip and you HAVE to be on a spinal or something.Blogging after that would have been impossible for me!

Hey Linda!  The drip is only at a 10 right now.  The nurse is authorized to go to 20.  No pain killers yet!!

I'm a three timer too, two c-sections (breeches) and then a natural.  No time for meds, that girl is as impatient today as the day she was born.  Good luck to you and a happy birthday to your newbie!

Baby Harris was born at 9:54am at 7 lbs 4 oz.  She does not have a name yet.  It's between two...

She has so much hair and it's dark.  Mike and I both have Auburn (red) hair, though Mike was blonde when he was little.  What is this dark hair??

Thank you, everyone for your well wished!  We're very excited, and as soon as I download some pictures, I'll do it!

Congratulations on the new baby!!  I think that you've taken blogging addiction to a whole new level.  LOL  My son had dark hair when he was born, but it lightened over time.  It was weird because neither I nor my husband at the time had black hair.  Sometimes they are born with a different color than they end up with and sometimes it could be genes from other member of the family, like grandparents or great-grandparents that are influencing the baby's hair color.

Congratulations Donna!  Life will change quite a bit now!  I wouldn't have missed a moment of my three and I still miss their "babyhood".  With ages ranging between 23 and 13 I love who they've become, but severely miss that unconditional love!
