West Virginia's "Dingle Berry"

This is too funny.  I'm catching up on some ActiveRain blogs and my Husband is watching the Fiesta Bowl.  They flashed the pictures and positions of the players across, and we had to do a double take.  Rewind TiVo and play that again...

Yes, there is a player with the name Dingle and a player with the name Berry.  They are numbers 92 and 93 respectively.  I just thought it was funny that the West Virginia Mountaineers had their very own "Dingle Berry".  I wonder if, together, they're the butt of the other players' jokes.

Bob, Too funny!  My husband took a picture with them sitting as Berry Dingle Dyke, but he never noticed them sitting in the reverse order of Dingle Berry.

Loreena, Only because at this point we root for the Big 12, but not during regular season!!  ;)

That is a classic. I don't remember Mike & Mike on ESPN radio mentioning this. I listen to them almost every day.

BTW... I see you are in Dallas. I believe my Redskins just played y'all. Hmmm....

Greetings one and all from a West Virginia born girl and Mountaineer fan forever. I think it must be the coming football season that lured me to look for a West Virginia and more importantly a WVU site.

My eldest graduated from WVU a couple of years ago and she says the Dingle and Berry always sit that way and that they do it on purpose. It is very funny, isn't it?

Only one more thing to say...Let's go Mountaineers!
