I'm livid!! I just went to check all my vFlyer activity for the weekend and there were absolutely no viewings on Saturday or Sunday and Friday had very few showings for ALL my ads. I went into Craigslist to check my account and they "Staff Deleted" all of them. Keep in mind that Staff Deleted is completely different than a post being "flagged" by others.
Has anyone else checked their accounts? I have emailed vFlyer support about this as I'm curious on why they didn't send out an email like they did last time. I prefer vFlyers because of the tracking, but I'm about to be forced to go back to Postlets if this doesn't get resolved.
Anyone else who uses vFlyer, please bombard their Tech Support so we can get this resolved ASAP!
The email address I used was the address they emailed me from: support@vflyer.com

Hello
I noticed that last night. I just thought it might be fluke. But it appears not to be a random event. I am going to tryt to email and see what the reason is. If anyone else knows please fill us in. I will let you know when I find out. HUMMM!!!
Here is a forum on craigslist regarding Vflyer.com :
http://forums.craigslist.org/?act=RSR&forumID=3&SQ=vflyer&offset=0
It has some info but mostly speculation on why it is being removed.

Me too!!! Grrrrr! I was thinking it was only mine. Donna, I posted mine in January and they where also deleted by craig's list staff. Have you heard anything else on this?
I got an automated response from craigslist pointing me to faq section. I have yet to respond to that. Hopefully we will get some answers soon.

Here is the response I got. It looks like we just need to repost them again and see what happens:

Donna,
I can understand your frustration. A couple weeks ago we elicited feedback from Craigslist management. They requested that we make a few changes to the flyer that was being used on Craigslist which we promptly did. Late last week, some customers told us that their flyers had been deleted by staff. We contacted Craigslist management immediately. After a few email exchanges, we were told that the flyers deleted were mostly flyers using the old format. They also expressed that they didn't have a problem with the new vflyer format. I hope you continue using our service. The silver-lining is that we feel that we have already made all the changes to support requests made by Craigslist management. Other services have yet to go through this process.
I am sorry about not responding sooner. I honestly didn't see you email. I personally respond to most of our support emails.

Donna,
Thanks for the post. This whole concept of vflyers is new to me. Could you elaborate?
William,
vFlyer is easy. Just go to vFlyer.com and create a new account and then create a flyer. They take you step by step as most are drop down menus.
Here's a link to one of mine: http://dallasrealestate.vflyer.com/4/index.html
Its been two days and I am still active. :) Keeping my fingers crossed that they fixed it.

Latest from Vflyer.com:
Note: As of Jan 10th 2007, new views of the flyer on Craigslist are not being tracked. This change was made upon the request by Craigslist.
This is a huge bummer consider most of my traffic comes from craigslist. I like to see the numbers. :(
Well on a better note: We will be able to post on craigslist using vflyer. :)

I got a personal call from Aaron this evening, the guy who wrote the email above. He said that Craigslist didn't realize that the initial code had tracking in them so he freaked out about people's privacy. The code is still there for basic online postings, except for Craigslist. I just kept pointing out that the tracking was the main part of the ad so I could show my sellers that we might only have X amount of showings, but we've had XYZ amount of views online. He said they're working on some other changes and they're hoping Craigslist will come around and allow them to add the tracking back in... blah blah blah.
There's that other company that has tracking on their ads too, but when I went to input a listing, it didn't like my zip code and their support hasn't responded back to me and that's been over a week as well... By the way, Craigslist has not responded since my inquiry last week, though there was a big trade show in NY that Craig was at along with the vFlyer guys.
My company offers a custom template program with unlimited listing for $19.95. Check us out at www.weblisters.net. All our templates abide by craigslist rules.

Please keep us posted on what you find out. I believe the answers will be very helpful to many of us.
Thanks for the post. I was thinking of using Vflyer to post listings up opn craigslist but seems like there was a lot of trouble with the vflyers. I hope they really got it fixed by now. Seems like a great website to make free flyers
Sounds like the staff at Craigslist just went through and deleted all vflyer posts not checking to see if it was posted with the new or old code. Hope they are more careful in the future.
Can they do that? I just started using VFLYERS.
This is STILL an ISSUE! Now I need to find the time to locate a contact to re-raise the issue...
