Austin TX Real Estate - Hill Country Austin Lakeway Homes for Sale: Is it still Summer in November? Weather in Austin Texas

Is it still Summer in November? Weather in Austin Texas

I'm getting really confused down here in Austin. The weather is fabulous, don't get me wrong, but it's the middle of November and it was 85 degrees today. You know what I had to do today? I had to go to the store to buy my 23 month old some new short sleeve shirts. I had anticipated him needing long sleeves by now, and he's grown out of all his Summer shirts. His tummy is showing!

Did you know it's hard to find short sleeve shirts in November? Everything is long sleeve! I have plenty of long sleeve shirts, but he'll be miserable outside on the playground when it's so hot.

I did find 3 shirts, hidden away on a rack with pajamas. Hopefully it starts to cool down soon so he can wear some clothes that fit!

The best part of today? Buying him 4 pairs of sandals that were a mere $2 each!!  One pair was even Toy Story AND they light up when you walk! Score!!

Donna - I will post you down some of our today's snow. Cats keep going ou followed by hasty returns. They don't believe it. Good to see you are a caring mum, keeping your son appropriately clad even if under difficuly.

Retailers pay no attention to seasons.  They merchandise products purchased often a year in advance.

This reminds me of the time I tried to buy a garden hose at Home Depot and they were "sold out" in June.

Good grief.

When I asked if they will have some coming in, the clerk said "NO, the only buy so many and when they're gone, they're gone."

So, I went to the local hardware store and - - - - they had hoses.
