Austin TX Real Estate - Hill Country Austin Lakeway Homes for Sale: Top Producing Agents

Top Producing Agents

One of the first questions I get asked by my friends and family and colleagues is, "Are you back to work yet?" or "Are you back at working full strength yet?"  My response is to look at the person like they're crazy and respond that I never took time off to begin with.  As many of you know, I was blogging while in labor in the hospital, I had three closings the week I gave birth, and I had several appointments the week after Alyssa was born.

Where was my maternity leave?  I tried to tell people I wanted to take time off, but that doesn't fit with my personality, and it never happened.  I did slow down a little, but for me to slow down, that means working at 100% instead of at 200%.

With that, I hit my first ever TRIFECTA!  Many times over the years, I have been the #1 agent in my office for the month or the quarter, but I have never been in the top spot for all three positions at the same time.  That is amazing!  My office emailed me the below.

Now, I ask the questions to everyone else in my office, "What are you people doing?"  I have a 7 month old, and I have more business than I know what to do with.  This is one of the main reasons I don't want to move to Austin.  I have built my business over the past 8 years, and I'll have to give this up and start over.

The good thing is that I'm such a competetive person, that starting at the bottom only gives me one way to go, and that's up the ranks in a new office.  I'll probably be making the announcement later this week on what the final decision is.  I have many mixed feelings on what to do.  My brain is frying!!

Until I know about Austin, I am still in Dallas and going stong.  If you're a buyer or seller needing assistance, I'm still here for you.  Are you packed yet?

Sometimes it's better to have some distractions...I've alreadys heard that college students who work actually do better in their studies than ones who don't...maybe this works for real estate agents too?

Way to go.  You need to let your market know you are the person to go to.

Duane, Yes!  It's like when you're planning a vacation and you let everyone know you'll be gone, and two days before you leave, everyone wants to go look at houses...  I need to have a baby every year to ensure all this business!

Bob, That definitely makes sense.  We can't all always be focused on just one thing at a time.

Adam, I try to stress that as much as possible.  AR definitely helps with that!

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving a post. I really appreciate it!

BTW, CONGRATULATIONS on a terrific achievement. That's something to really make you proud of yourself.

Donna, LOL, I hear ya. A baby and vacations may be the answer (not for me of course).

Lisa, You're very welcome.  And Thank you!  I'm very proud.  I smiled for a very long time and just stared at my screen when I opened up the document.

Duane, You could adopt a baby every month.  That would even be faster and more consistent! LOL

wow!  Maybe moving to Austin would be a dream come true for you!  How do you top yourself? Austin would be new ground.  Since you are so competitive, seems like a no-brainer to me.  GO PLOW NEW GROUND GIRL.  Congratulations on your baby and your stats. (my word graphic was "peanut" and that's what I call my son.  Wierd, huh? Comment back and maybe your word will be Austin LOL)

So that means if you didn't have any children you will be closing like 10 deals a week Superstar. That's great that you are getting tons of business. Keep up the great work. And congratulations on being top producing real estate professional in your office and the birth of your child. Great post.

I can't imagine starting all over again if I moved to another city or state. With a new baby, no less! You go, girl!

Donna, I was exhausted reading what you have been through let alone adding 12 kids a year. I don't think there's enough beer in Texas or Michigan for that task.

CONGRATULATIONS DONNA!!!  This is truly noteworthy.

I am sure that if you decide to go to Austin you'll do equally well there.  The cream always rises to the top!

Alyce, Thanks, and new ground might be nice... My graphic is lipote.  What's that?

Lanre, Thanks!  I'm not sure I would know what to do with 10 deals a week...

Kelly, Me neither.  It's been very hard to come to terms.  I thought about working at a title company or something else.

Duane, Did you know that you can pay your kids up to a certain income a year and it be tax free?  I think the number is $4800.  They must be 6 or 7 years old though.  So, go adopt a bunch of 7 year old, have them put stamps on envelopes, pay them $4800 a year each, and you'll lower your tax bracket!!  Isn't that what kids are for? :)

Steve S, Thank you.  I'm also picturing how I always mix the cream back in to there is an equal flavor.  Maybe I shouldn't do that...

Debbie, Thanks so much!

Gary, Thank you!!
