A few days ago, a HUGE milestone was hit. ActiveRain's membership actually surpassed the total number of agents that are associated with RE/MAX.
RE/MAX has 107,093 membersin 6995 offices in more than 65 countries (I just happened to be on their main site this evening looking at stuff pertaining to my move). I'm not sure how many countries ActiveRain is in, but I think it's still just the U.S. and Canada, and we're sitting pretty at 107,975 members.
I love that I have associated myself with two top dogs in this industry.
What makes the numbers interesting is that RE/MAX is in several different countries to make up their numbers. However, ActiveRain has several different companies and industries within the industry making up their numbers.
Which numbers are stronger? I don't think either number is stronger than the other. They're just different. RE/MAX is only Real Estate Agents/Brokers, whereas ActiveRain is anyone within the Real Estate Industry.
Combined, we make one huge force to be reckoned with!

Donna~ Isn't it amazing how quickly activerain has grown and caught on? I am just so glad I found this place and am enjoying all of the information available here and thankful that most are so willing to share!

Interesting observation on the sheer size that Active Rain has become Donna. RE/MAX is pretty dominant as well on the purely Realtor side.
Would be interesting to see what the top 10-20 real estate companies are on ActiveRain by total members. I remember seeing something like this about a year ago; maybe the AR Team can do an update
Donna - The Rain is a wonderful network, I don't know what I would do with out it.
As for RE/MAX, I think there a very good company and one of the biggest in the world.
