What a relaxing Sunday. We took Alyssa out on the boat for the very first time to Lake Ray Hubbard in Rowlett, TX. She had a lot of fun! She loved the wind blowing through her hair. She was making vroom vroom noises as the engine excelerated. She tried so hard to reach over the edge of the boat to touch the water.
We went out in the hopes of possibly wakeboarding, but that didn't happen. I bought this life jacket for her when she was 4 months old. It probably won't actually fit until next summer, but it worked fairly well.

These were taken with my cell phone, but quality didn't turn out too bad. We did get some video on the new HD Camcorder, but haven't downloaded it yet.
Next time, we know that if we want to actually do something, like wakeboard, we need to have a third person.

Donna, Alyssa is growing up so very quicky! Looks like she's a natural sailor!
Hi Donna, I love the post and I love seeing pictures of your baby! What a perfect way to spend a Sunday! Thanks for sharing!
Donna, I just wanted to pop by and say how amazingly BIG Alyssa is. They grow so very fast don't they? Seems like just yesterday you were getting set to deliver her.
Oh Alyssa, what a cutie you are!! First boat ride of many more to come.... Donna, your phone camara did really well, the colors are bright and beautiful... Take care!!
What a cute little baby and a boater already, thanks for the post and pics.
Donna,
Those pictures turned out great! I'm much older now and out of Texas, but I grew up on Lake Ray Hubbard and lived in Rockwall. I have many fond memories of being on the water and I know Alyssa will also!
Darrell
I think Alyssa totally enjoyed her time. A pure Texas girl.....
What a sweetie! Donna, thanks for the pictures. Always brightens my heart to see baby pics.
Looks like great fun! I love to see the JOY on babies faces!!!
your friend in Charlottesville!
Patricia, Thanks and yes she is! 11 months on Thursday!
Sandy, Thank you, that's very sweet!
Gary, Yes, this time last year, I was starting to feel very uncomfortable, and she's HUGE! 20 pounds now... my back is killing me!
Teresa, Thanks! I was trying to get her on the boat earlier, but hubby didn't think she would like it. Boy was he wrong!
Robert, Thank you and you're welcome.
Darrell, The water is down and the stumps are apparent. How many stumps did you used to run into with all those trees in the water?
Loreena, Yes, I think she really did. My camera was slow so I never got any with the huge smile on her face, but it was there.
Kris, Thanks!
Charles, Thanks and it was tons of fun!
Donna - I'm loving your "water baby"... She's addorable! Thank you for sharing.
Hi Donna... I cannot get over how much Alyssa has grown. She's a cutie pie too! You can see the enjoyment in her face... I suspect she'll be an avid boater for years to come!
Debbie, Thank you. She loves the water! Our neighbors started digging a hole for their new pool today, and now I'm even more disappointed in having to move. That pool next door would have been great!
Steve, Yes, she's HUGE now! She's looking like a real person when I dress her and put shoes on her. She really liked the boat. Mike thought she would be scared, but the faster we went and the more water that splashed up, the bigger her smile. I hope it stays warm another few weeks so we can take her out again. Apparently, the water in the lakes in Austin is pretty cold.
