Since even before Halloween, I received several emails and comments on my blogs telling me I had to post pictures of Alyssa's 1st Halloween. So, by popular demand, here it is.
We had a kid costume party last weekend, and then she had a parade at her school on Friday along with a Fall Festival. I couldn't get her smile once in her ladybug costume which is why it's taken me this long to post. I wasn't sure which pictures to use.
So, instead of trying to find the "best" pictures, I figured I would just show you the wide range of emotion throughout the different events. Can you tell when she was having the most fun??

As you can see, she loved being back in regular clothes! And she loves this car that she rides in. It was an early birthday present from Grandma that she got about a month ago. She'll sit with her feet on the dash and her arms against the back like she's all "kewl". It's really cute.
Hopefully, next year we'll get some smiles!

Started out a little rought there. But she came around. Nice pics
Cute cute cute!! It was our little girl's first Halloween too! Alyssa definitely was glad to be in normal clothes again, LOL!
ha ha! that's so funny. And I thought our 2 year old hated his costume!
Very cute! I need to post pics of our Halloween - was thinking of doing it tonight. Glad to see she got happier as the post progressed. Have a great week!
Robert, VERY rough! That's why I couldn't take her to the festival in costume even though all the other kids were. She did just fine in her pumpkin shirt!
Sheree, I didn't see pictures on your blog... you gonna post any?
Greg, You drove all the way home for him to hate his costume?
Jason, Thanks! She'll smile at anything while in that car! Not too sure of the pony though.
Donna-How cute she is! I remember thos 1st Halloween days, cherish the moments. My 12 year old is "Too Cool" for dressing up.
Donna, the lady bug costume was a cute idea and she even looks adorable with her pouty face. You can embarass her with these photos later when boyfriends come over :-)
Joseph, Thanks! I dressed up at 12... maybe I shouldn't have? LOL!
Lara, What a great idea! I was a little upset that she wasn't having fun in costume, but when I saw her in the parade, not a single baby in her class would crack a smile. They ALL hated their costumes.
She's still as cute as a button...and what about those matching socks! She loves her pink car though; she may end up being one of those girls that drive the pink VW's! She has the prettiest hair color...Thanks for sharing Donna!
Teresa, Thanks!! She received an entire set of those socks in every color when she was born and they just now fit. They're Minnie Mouse, and fit in perfectly with the ladybug! We're still trying to figure out what color her eyes and hair will be. Sometimes the hair is more blonde and some times, lots of red! Those eyes of hers are very confusing... green, grey, hazel... who knows...
Donna, what an adorable little bug!
Donna, Maybe she just doesn't like lady bugs :) She is so cute!
Patricia, Thank so much!
Ricki, She liked the costume, but only when she was holding it and not wearing it. It's soft and she definitely knows the word "soft" as she pats it like the dog.
Hi Donna... even when she's not happy Alyssa is adorable. That costume was great!
Steve, Thanks! And yes, she's cute when she's upset. I think it's the cheeks.
Donna - Awww! Your daughter made quite an adorable ladybug! Thanks for hanging in there and posting... :)
Debi, Thanks! It was so soft and cuddly, I have no idea why she didn't like it. I thought it would be just like putting on her PJs, but guess not.
I had to see this 2 hour post and it was worth waiting for! She was not liking her ladybug at first but it looks like a nice progression. She is adorable!
Denise, Thanks so much! It's funny, because she hated wearing it, but had no problem hugging it and patting it since it was so soft.
You have a beautiful daughter. Seems that the lady bug was a popular costume for the girls. We went as a lady bug to our churches trunk or treat and she was precious, but there were atleast four others as well! i am glad to see that you guys had fun!
Hope your week goes well.
Jason, There was only one other ladybug at the Festival, and she looked to be about 3 years old, so it looked different. I didn't really "think" about what she would be. I saw this costume for $3 and thought that was a bargain and bought it. Overall, once we got her out of the costume, she had a blast!
