Even though Alyssa was around last year for the Holidays, she was a lump on a log and this is considered her first Holiday Season.
She had a blast. We celebrated at my mom's on the 20th where she got a rocking horse that makes lots of noises. We named it Pokey. She also had a tasty treat called Crayons. Yummy!
Then, off to Austin we went to celebrate at my in-laws. There, she was tortured with a Santa outfit that turned out to look cute. At 13 months, she's already showing 'tude with her hands on her hips.
After playing Santa and opening gifts, she got tuckered out and nestled on a nice, large
box and kicked back with a cold one (before anyone calls CPS, the can was empty and she would have better taste than Bud anyway).
All in all, she had a fun time with her cousin, even though the trip started out with her taking a face-plant on the concrete. She still has a large bruise and it's been almost a week!
Many more, Alyssa!

MMM Crayons and beer. Reminds me of a recent party at the Nino House (but thats another storry). She shows fine taste as well by going for the bud, I much prefer the can over the bottle myself.
Its amazing how big she has gotten. My daughter started with the hands on the hips early also, the tude gets worse from there.
Happy New Year!
great photos and a really great story, she will love and laugh at those photos when she is much older, happy holidays and a great new year
Donna - Alyssa is so adorable! Keep the photos coming! Thanks for sharing her with us... :)
Chad, Sounds like a Nino celebration! Yes, she's getting so huge! Almost 22 pounds and solid as she's not very tall. She better keep that 'tude mild. Only room for one 'tude in this house! LOL
James, Thank you! And she already loves the pictures. She can't go a day without looking at pictures of herself. It's pretty funny, though sounds a little vein!
Debi, Thank you, and you're very welcome for sharing. It's hard to keep such a cutie a secret!
Alyssa is so cute in that little santa suit! Glad she had a blast this year. We're in the same boat as that Joshua wasn't all that into Christmas last year, but at 21 months he was all over it!
JiMaria, Thanks! Sounds like he had a lot of fun! For us, it was just another year of not having to buy presents since she didn't understand what was going on, but liked the boxes.
Donna - Alyssa must have been out in the cold, she has little red cheeks in the one photo, very cute girl and thanks for the post.
Go figure.. I've been staring at what's behind her to figure it out. I thought it was a reflections, then I wondered about the light inside then asked why was it light outside.
Oh, those pigtails... squeeze that left check and slap her a big wet kiss!
Nino?
Hmm
Robert, Nope, it was rather warm for the Holidays. The high was about 80 today even. The rosey cheeks are just from running around and playing.
Greg, The outside is behind her. We had to bring Oscar because he had surgery a couple of days earlier and we couldn't leave him home alone like we usually do. I cut her hair yesterday, so I can't do pigtails right now, but she can still have one. It'll grow. I cut it to help it grow faster.
Love the 'tude pic!
It really shows who's in charge!
Thanks for sharing your holiday with us!
Craig, And for someone with a very limited vocabulary, she knows how to get what she wants with that 'tude of hers!
Alyssa is getting big and next Christmas will be even funner for all of you! She looks adorable in her Santa outfit....she does not look to happy but I bet she was precious.
Terrie, Yes, she's getting really big. She eats everything in site, and since she learned to sign "more" she eats even more. For the most part, she was happy, but kept pulling on the fuzzy sleeves. The jacket came off as it was a very warm day.
