I can't believe no one noticed my change... I thought it was really obvious, but apparently not...
I changed my profile picture! Doesn't it look completely different than the old one?? LOL
NEW Donna 2009 OLD Donna 2006
I really liked my picture and didn't want to replace it, but come next month, it was going to be 3 years old. I always tell people they need to use recent pictures so others can recognize you when you're out and about. However, I had not changed in the past 3 years, so I didn't bother to update my picture.
However, I figured, I'm starting over in a new area, I need to order new business cards, and with new cards, why not put a new picture. Even though they look almost the same, I think you can see the "experience" I have gained over the last three years. My eyes don't look like they sparkle as much.
And looking at them side by side like this makes my neck look weird... maybe I need to redo the new one... now it's got me not liking the new picture. I'll have to think about this one some more.
Well, gosh Donna, you still look like a baby!!! Both are beautiful photos, quit obsessing!!!
Same pose similar clothes and you have not aged a day. It is easy to see why no one noticed.
Donna, you've barely aged! Both photos look great, and you're right! They do need to be updated.
Donna - you look great but I agree, the earlier photo looks like a more professional photographer took the shot.
Wow both photos do look the same. There are a lot of Realtors out there with OLD photos, thankfully you are not one of them...lol
I noticed... Where are my manners? I was supposed to say something. LOL
But, isn't the 'New Donna' really the 'Older Donna'... I am confused.
Crazy thing, is you are 3yrs older and don't look a day older.
Donna, I didn't notice! But, now that you put them side by side I can tell. It looks like you're getting younger! You have such a beautiful smile....what's your beef?
*smile*
Deb
Looks like twins to me, so who but the individual can see the difference.
Nope didn't notice. Apparently 2008 didn't take too hard of a toll (which is a good thing)...
I noticed on my last post today, I had to make sure it was you. There really is not much difference, you just look a little wiser and where there wan on wrinkle in your smile, there are now two. No biggy though, you still look grrrrrrreat! Momma always told me to keep my mouth shut, but sense you mentioned it.
LOL CHAD! You're so bad, girls don't want to hear about wrinkles, age spots and blemishes! lol!!
Donna, I noticed but didn't rush to the keyboard to stir the ego soup. ;)
I like the "other" photo's you showed me online, why aren't you considering any of those?!? Post them here and hold a contest! You gotta give it a try!
Donna,
Both photos are lovely and you look great, a beautiful smile.
Donna, How do you keep your self so Beautiful?
Amy, Nah, I'm well into my 30's now...
Randy, The necklace is difference. My mom's dog got excited and jumped on me one day and pulled it off.
Patricia, Thanks!
Susan, Thank you and yes, the first one was a more experienced photographer considering I took the new one. I got a new camera, put it on a tripod, and set the continuous timer, but I think I did pretty good... wrong head angle.
Carol, I get a kick out of the pictures with blue eye-shadow. That tells you the age of the photo for many agents.
Tom, You stuck your foot in your mouth, but then you took it out. Thanks!
Deb, Thanks! No beef, just some chicken LOL!
Joan, I always wanted to be a twin!
Michael, Nope, I had a great 2008. I worked with a brand new baby and made more in 2008 than I did in 2007. Life is great!
Chad, Thanks, you're always good at making a girl blush.
Greg, Those photos were for your eyes only and were not to be mentioned ever again! I'm trying to get business, but not *that* kind of business.
Mary, Thank you very much!
Isaac, Ahh, shucks, thanks! I have no secrets... but maybe it's because I don't wear makeup and that allows my skin to breathe properly... but you can sure see that lipstick. I might have gone overboard with that, but I thought it added a little color since my complexion was looking a little pail.
Too funny, I actually saw your thumbnail on my subscribed blogs page, and thought that something was different, and when I clicked on it, it was the topic of your blog !
And they both look great !
I didn't get this kind of love when I posted my pictures.
Girls... they always get oodled without hesitation. Nice perks yall have.
"So pretty, so lovely, so wonderful, how can I be like you, can I name my unborn child after you, AHH I'm in love.."
whatever.
I still have those pic's btw.. I blew them up and have them hanging in my garage.
Donna: I am real good at that.... lucky talent.
Donna,
They are both nice pictures. I have not visited in a while....that is the only reason I didn't notice. Don't fret, life goes on and we all have bigger things to worry about than if folks like our pictures. My family has seen me look worse than my profile picture, but the still love me.
Have a great day and
Make THIS year your BEST year
Leander
Sheldon, I'm facing the opposite way. I decided to flip the image and "look" at my blog instead of looking away from it.
Greg, I'm only worth hanging in the garage? You could have at least hung them in Preston's fort in the backyard!
Tom, I'm sure it takes lots of practice.
Leander, Thank you, and I will make it the best ever!
Be grateful, it's on the opposite wall of my dart board. My buddies keep drawing "things" on them. the 6 foot tall version of you looks much different than how you appear in person I must say
Hi Donna... In my opinion, the comments so far are definitely "on target". You really do not look any older, and, while I have never disliked your old pic, I happen to like the new pic... the reason is it looks a bit less "polished" and bit more "real".
the one on the left looks more like you. I like that one better, but then again, i know you, so i'm biased
Donna- Being a professional photographer, I would like to give you my (opinion). These photographs look so much alike and the photo from 2006 does look like a much better photo because it's clearer and better color. It also looks like a better camera was used.
Just my opinion!
You look the same in both, the one on the right looks better because it's crisper and easier to see the detail and your eyes do look more sparkling. It's beautiful, you are a beautiful girl and very professional. Think you should use it. Since you don't look different use the better photograph (crisper and sparkling eyes) did I say that. Brave girl.
Greg, I would imagine a 6 foot version would look differently because I'm not 6 foot tall!
Steve, Thanks!
John, And I added the curl back in instead of straightening my hair again.
Robert, I don't know... I just got a brand new Canon PowerShot 1000 IS which is a major upgrade from my Nikon Coolpix 2200... but it's no "professional" camera.
Terrylynn, Thanks! I like my eyes in the old one too, however, I got "honest" feedback from my family last night and apparently no one has liked my old picture for the past three years because they feel my eyes look bugged-out. It's interesting what family will keep inside as to not insult.
Just post 2 of the 3 you sent me. Gosh!
Donna - I need you to send me some of that Texas water. In three years it looks like you haven't aged at all.
Donna..I had to laugh at the headline on this, because I was feeling the same way about myself. I just uploaded a new picture of myself, with no touchups! In fact , I was thinking..I look so bad that no one wants to say anything. I'm now a red head, with glasses, no less. My before picture was taken several years ago and was enhanced (i think)by a far-sighted guy. I looked about 13 years old. You look beautiful both before and after..we are always the hardest on ourselves.
I absolutely noticed the change...!!!
Didn't know if it was appropriate to comment on it though.
But since you blogged about it....You look wonderful....in both pictures!
Donna - This is not so much about you comment, but rather the photo. Just in my eye, the picture looks too grainy and looked too post-processed??? I'm not even sure if that's what you do. Also, the lighting in the older one looks better, hence the sparkle in the eye. The newer picture was perhaps a little "closer" than the old. It depends on what you like. I know you still pretty much look like you.
You are young and beautiful! I on the other hand need to change my photo SOOO bad... But I have just been fighting it! (It may have to be done at gun point. LOL!) Soon I promise!
Donna,
I did notice. I don't think you've changed. I like the one on the right.
Robert, Do you know how much it costs to ship things these days? You're just going to have to visit!
Linda, Your picture looks great. You look vibrant and having fun.
Craig, I'm a girl. Of course it's prudent to comment! ;)
Loreena, Yes, the other picture looks more professional because it is. In today's digital camera times, I opted to take my own for similar quality.
Sherry, Thanks *blush* I'll hold you down when I get there! I need to meet with Sylvia at the end of the month to do the paperwork change over. Blah!
Brenda, Thank you!
Well Donna you look younger...motherhood is agreeing with you!! Take care.
Teresa, Thank you thank you!! Motherhood definitely agrees!! I'm lovin' every second of it!
Donna-Both pictures look great-You never change.
