Austin TX Real Estate - Hill Country Austin Lakeway Homes for Sale: Alyssa Meets Her Cousins for the First Time

Alyssa Meets Her Cousins for the First Time

Alyssa had a big few days. She met her cousins for the first time, and also saw her Great Grandma for the first time since she was 6 months old.  Boy was GG surprised at how much bigger and active she was.

Here is a picture of GG (Great Grandma) with all four of her grandchildren, and yes, they just happen to be all girls. Something was in the water.  Alyssa is in the front on the left with her 7 year old cousin Lindsey behind her. They've played together many times.

On the right side are cousins Alila who is 4 and Zoie who is only 8 months old.  Alyssa had never met Alila or Zoie before. She found them quite fun.  They were in town from Nebraska.

Here's a picture of Alyssa riding in the wagon with Zoie.  It's scary that they look about the same size, yet Alyssa is 7 months older.  They had a blast being pulled around in that thing.

And, as always, Alyssa likes to play "daredevil" and climb up on everything possible and then do "no hands" just to get a rise out of me... she had a blast, especially since she wasn't the youngest one and was able to do more things than the baby.

And if anyone can explain this "sticking the tongue out" phase Alyssa is going through, I would appreciate it. It's so hard to get pictures without her tongue out anymore. I'm thinking it's because she's getting more teeth and she's feeling around her mouth as they're breaking through, who knows...

Adorable photos, Donna.  Thanks for sharing.  I think you're right on target about the tongue thing.  They all seem to go through this weird phase.  Another side effect of teething is the slobber.  Everything gets absolutely soaked!  And, whoever thought of the cloth bibs with no plastic backing was just not thinking things through, were they?

It's amazing you could get the kiddos ALL in one spot, fast enough to take the photo. I know that's a challenging task!

Heather, Thanks!!  As for slobber, Alyssa has never had that issue. I think I've been lucky with that one. She gets the runny nose, which is probably worse, but she has never slobbered.

Loreena, Getting them in one spot was pretty easy. It was getting them to look at the same spot and then all smile at the same time that was the problem...

Donna, your little girl is growing up so fast!  I thought she was the one on her great grandmother's lap!

Jesse, You think she looks like me?  I'm still having problems seeing a resemblance of anyone.

Pat, Yes, she definitely is!  I would of thought she would still be the size of the one in GG's lap too, but, man, has she grown!  AND, she's 3 inches shorter than the girl in her daycare class that was born the exact same day!
